Ireland 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Cairns Blue
275/65/20 AT tyres any problems?

275/65/20 Bfgoodrich kmo2 A/T tyres. Is anyone running these tyres on there 20" wheels on there l322? If so do did you have to alter anything in order for them to fit? The picture is of the alloys I'll be putting them ontoTIA.

I have 275/55R20 which barely fit, scraping the front liner when the wheels are turned while at access height.

Would 275/55R20 be OK in the event of an airbag failure or would they get stuck on the liners making the car immobile?
I thought they would be OK but there is a lot of conflicting info.

Have been thinking if the 255/60/20 would work as its the size on the new Defender and I assume would be a more common size for AT tyres to be developed for. 07 4.2 Supercharged

I myself am looking at GoodYear Duratrac (my master mechanic runs 275/55 20” on his Disco 4)

But I’m looking at the official LR homologated size, which is 255/55 20”

I know people run 275 on RR, but not without problems (or a lift kit)

Graeme, I was gonna go down the 275/50R20 route with a set of Grabber AT3s .. according to tiresize.com (see photo) the 50 profile are only 0.8 inches taller and 0.8 inches wider than standard.. surely these would fit .. any thoughts based on your experience of 55 profile 275s?? 2010 RR 4.4tdV8 Autobiography

Whilst I would prefer a 31" tyre, the sidewall height and load rating of 255/55R20 doesn't suit my usage so unless I can source a good AT in 255/60R19 to fit to D4 rims I'll fit 275/55R20 again next time. Unfortunately the GG AT3 isn't available here in 255/60R19 although most of the other GG AT3 sizes are. 275/55R20 are marginal in guard fitment and their affect on gearing when towing, their width is greater than what I would prefer for all surfaces, the spare requires the floor to be raised but the size has good load rating which when combined with slightly taller sidewalls makes them a reluctant first choice. 255/60R20 are too rare, mostly out of stock and very expensive here so not considered an option. I've had BFG KO2 and Pirelli AT+ and next time will be either AT+ again or Falken AT3W in this size, assuming an acceptable 255/60R19 doesn't become available here.

275/50R20 appear to have the better load rating 113 than 255/55R20 but no suitable AT tyres are available here and they still have the shorter sidewalls of 255/55R20. The 275/50R20 GG AT3 doesn't appear to be available here.

285/50/20 is the largest you can go on a 322 and these just catch on full axle articulation on std suspension 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Over the last couple of days I was getting excited because the GG AT3 255/60R19 are on order by a domestic importer, possibly prompted by my recent inquiry as they import other size GG AT3. However considering that in almost every review of the GGs, although not this size with their 113 rating, the tyres reportedly have soft sidewalls and the V speed rating suggests that the sidewalls must be thin enough not to transfer too much heat and therefore this size is also likely to have soft sidewalls. Hence I'm resigning to continue with 275/55R20 and am likely to try the Falken AT3W even though their ride could be harsher having LI 117 because their pattern is a little more open than the AT+ which pick-up lots of mud and are only just acceptable in mud. Several L494 owners here really like their 275/55R20 Falkens which is encouraging.

Interesting post, I have been thinking to go back down to 20" for my overlanding build & was thinking 275/60/20 BFG ATs or 275/55/20

Is this a hard size to get then & what's the fit like? If you own an IID tool, can't you just raise the suspension up a touch to accommodate the larger size or even fit Johnson rods? 2004 RR 4.4 V8 Autobiography

Hi all, just to complete the story.. I did end up buying 5 Grabber 275/55r20 AT3s and fitting them to a second set of second hand early L322 rims. Look Fantastic, ride brilliantly but did have a few ‘issues’ on the way. Issue 1 - early L322 wheels need different wheel nuts to later l322s!!.. Extra £40 for a set. Issue 2 - I did put on a set of Overlander 2.5” lift rods which were simply to fit but cost £80.. Issue 3 - still got rubbing on offside rear and they wouldn’t clear the strut tops on the front either so bought some Terrafirma 30mm spacers, which went on easy, solved the interference problems and make the Rangie look mean and planted. Interestingly I still get a small amount of rubbing on the offside front in reverse on full left hand down lock.. but it is minimal and workable. Photos attached.. Did you remove the plastic locating pimples from the underside of the front air-springs? They're only there to make production fitting easier in the same manner as the ones on the top which have to be snapped off if camber adjustment is required.

I am running 275 55 20 BF goodrich AT on my 2007 L322, The spare only just about fits with some plastic bits removed from the boot and completely deflated, I will have trouble getting it out on my own!

I have had no issues with rubbing in access mode as I use car parks with height restriction quite often.

They have been on for about 2k miles and about 3 weeks. They have increased the overall rolling resistance noticeably and the speedo is now bang on with sat nav, where on 255 55 20's it was reading around 10% below.

Also they are a bit hairy on wet tarmac if you like to both turn the steering and use the go pedal enthusiasticly hahaha

Otherwise very happy with them and the size choice.

I've had LT275/55R20 BFG KO2 and now Pirelli AT+ 275/55R20. I trimmed the left side spare wheel plastic to allow the deflated spare to fit. I stand inside facing rearwards over the top of the spare to both lower it into place and lift it up. I have blocks under the spare so that it can't become wedged in.
