Lubricating oil additive ?

Has anyone used this 'Liquid Moly' additive for the engine oil ?

Generally I am not a fan of additives for lubrication oil, but -
I have been looking at the info for Liquid Moly a lubricating oil additive for engine oil. Research suggests that especially for older engines such as mine, that it would be a benefit to add this to my oil

I have used the same companies products whilst at sea in the engine room, but never for a car engine, the company Wurth make all their oils, lubricants and additives in Germany. Note - I have no connection with this company.

Would be interested to know if any other members have used this.

I'm surprised there have been no responses

I have used liquid moly back in the days of carburettors and simple 20w 50 oils. Cant say I noticed any difference, I think it was just down to marketing. I often used Castrol R on my motorcycles because it smelt great! Rolling with laughter

I wouldn't dream of using it on our cars as oil specifications are so much tighter and more often than not synthetic

However I am not an oil expert so I may be wrong. Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006

No problems experienced, I would not even think of adding any to the gear box, transfer box or diff's.
My engine is now at 96000 and I wondered if anyone else had any experience of these engine oil additives.

As you said, probably better to simply change the oil, I do oil changes at around 6000 miles anyway.

Thank you for the comments gentlemen Thumbs Up
