New member but long term RR owner, but this is my first L405, having had various Sports and an SVR in the past. These questions relate to a 2015 3.0TDV6 Autobiography with 57k and FSH

1. A/C fans cutting out. When working hard in the recent hot weather, for no reason the AC fans in the front occasionally just cut out. The rear vents above the rear doors stay on (well one does, the other doesn’t seem to work). Turning climate off and then on again resets it and the fans restart every time. It only happens when the fans are running at high speed on the Auto setting. Any ideas? The AC button remains illuminated throughout and the vehicle has the 4 zone climate with the separate rads etc in the boot.

2. Strange feeling best described as a bouncy hopping from the rear left wheel when pulling out of junctions most noticeable when turning right. Reading through posts on here I’m thinking this might be diff related and probably best to start with getting the diff oil changed? It has FSH all with JLR dealers, but I’m not sure they routinely change diff oils at this kind of mileage or even try to make out that they’re sealed for life!

Try changing your transfer box oil, at least twice, there is a known issue with juddering while turning, even at relatively low mileage, off memory the service life for T/F case oil is 60K so your almost there anyway. Ive done a few now where its taken several oil changes to cure the issue.

I thought it was likely diff or transfer box oil, so am having both diffs and transfer box oil changed by my local Indie next month 🤞. It’s definitely not related to the fuel tank as the sensation still happens with a full tank.

Anyone any thoughts on the strange fan cutting out issue?

I had this with my D4. Felt like a diff was locked and the wheel was skipping/bumping when pulling out of a junction with some steering lock on. Mine was worse on right hand turns

Changed transfer box oil once and it improved, did it again after a couple of weeks and it cured it  Paul
