Door replacement and electronic woes central locking, mirror

Making this as an information piece for my fellow RR comrades.

I recently replaced a door skin on my RR, reusing the original door card and loom.

It's a relatively easy job, took me 5 hours on and off.

The issue was when I put everything back together the mirror electronics didn't work and the central locking stopped working on the replacement door.

After banging my head at the wall for 7 days I made a breakthrough...

There are three hinged plugs that go into the door switch module that are VERY temperamental. It appears that they're seated but in reality they're far from it. The solution? I used cable ties around the module to ensure these plugs were properly 'home' and now, no issues whatsoever!

So, if any of you have central locking issues on one door or your mirror electronics stop working on one door, find these three plugs, spray them with electrical contact cleaner and get them snug with some cable ties!

Cheers.
