Looking for some pointer on how I can fix up a few minor bodywork niggles I have with my VSE.

First one is the chrome paint on the lower front grill. Is there a specific paint code I need for this? It's such a small area and not really a focus point of the car that an exact match on the finish isn't a massive deal.

I don't know how to help you with the bodywork; perhaps you'd better have it professionally done at a body shop.

For the sunroof seal, try cleaning underneath the certain part and use a small quantity of gasket sealant. You can apply some weight on top of the seal while it cures. Any excess can be easily trimmed off afterwards.
You don't need to replace the seal at this point. And even if there was more extensive damage, you could still remove, repair and re-fit fairly easily. I've done this on the freelander and is still good after a decade.

I use Den Braven gasket sealant 300C which is plenty strong for most automotive applications.

You can buy chrome paint but it's not very good, it should be fine for that small piece, it will look a lot better anyway...

The other bits just touch in with some colour matched paint, you can buy it on eBay or a local bodyshop supply place... buy a decent artist brush with a head around the size of a match and touch it in after a good clean, then go over the top with some clear coat... Pete

Cheers, good shout on the gasket sealant, have ordered some up and will have a crack at that when it arrives.

I think I have some touchup paint but generally not a fan as I always seem to end up blobbing it on but maybe with a different brush I can get a better finish. I wonder if I took it to a body shop whether they would want to paint the entire bumper or maybe can just blend it in although given the tiny area it's maybe not even worth their effort with the cost of the paint.

With the chrome, Im not worried if the finish isn't great, it's tiny and largely out of sight, more a case of trying to sort it don't doesn't get worse. I'll probably have a crack at that and if it looks bad, see if I can find a replacement grille already chromed.
