United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Nara Bronze
I have joined the club...................

after many many years of wanting a Range Rover, and having had a few other Land Rovers along the way, i have eventually got around to it! A 2012 L322 4.4 TDV8 in nara bronze.

Now, it has not been plain sailing since i got it. Being in Northern Ireland the selection is limited, so off me and the missus went to Elgin to collect. Bought from Pentland Land Rover who were excellent and complete with a Land Rover warranty...............thank God!

Collected July 2nd, fantastic drive through Scotland, overnight in Fort William then completed journey to Cairnryan on the evening of the 3rd for the boat home. Arrived in NI, driving home, "restricted performance". Long and short of it been with dealer for warranty work for the last 2/3 weeks and hopefully back with me tomorrow with 2 x new turbos and ABS sensor! Very much looking forward to getting him back.

Jobs to do........................Bovee 1000 ordered for streaming thanks to the thread on here, dog guard to be fitted, tow bar needs a longer swan neck fitted, but the two most important things to look at are getting the rear wheel arches looked at as there is corrosion starting to show and off the back of that waxoyled..................I'm not particularly handy on the body work side so if anyone has any contacts or references for this work would be much appreciated!

Looking forward to participating further with the forum which is a wealth of knowledge.

Cheers

Nev

That's what i thought given the prognosis from the Land Rover call out guy was a stuck actuator arm.

When it then went to dealer they diagnosed it as a turbo issue. maybe "easier" to do this given under warranty!?

While then working on the vehicle they diagnosed an issue with 2nd turbo and suggested it be replaced also, again under warranty.

TBH I'm quite relaxed about it as I'm taking the positive attitude that at least these have been replaced. Just hope thats the correct attitude Smile

Good to get the both turbos done FOC Thumbs Up if you have corrosion on your arches just check the bottom lip of the top tailgate which is a known problem around this age. 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB
Gone 2011 Bournville TDV8 VSE
Gone 2008 Black Canadian HSE LUX

Lovely looking L322. Thumbs Up

I had a sticking actuator on my last 2016 D4, both turbos were replaced under the LR warranty.

I p/ex it for the FFRR but up until then it was fine. General opinion from my motor trade friends was that it was overkill but par for the course for a main dealer and a warranty claim.
