We had a really good dad and son day, despite being a bit disappointed at the lack of trade stands at Gaydon and as a bonus he and his wife have told us this week we have a new grandchild to look forward to just after Christmas.

Despite the downpours, I had a great day. Slightly annoyed having spent three hours making the car gleam yesterday that it was covered in 160 miles worth of road muck by time we arrived at Gaydon. My first Land Rover show and first time back at Gaydon since the old Supercar Sunday shows in the noughties. Back then there was no sign of a "Collections" building so much more to see now in the museum. There was an excellent turnout of Classic Rangies from pre production, quite a few P38s, more L322s but I was a bit disappointed with the turnout of L405s. Only a handful of us and I think mine was the only SVA. Lovely couple of new Hybrids and of course Craigs looking very good on the RR Owners Club pitch. Despite the hours spent there I failed to make contact with anyone from here which was a shame. Hope everyone else enjoyed too. Mike - MPx

Despite the occasional heavy rain shower I too had a thoroughly good day out with quite a few interesting motors on show and it was well worth the trip. Even bumped into some old long lost friends I haven’t seen for nearly 20 years. I must admit though I was a little disappointed with the low numbers of L322s and only a smattering of L405s in attendance; all outnumbered by the usual numbers of enthusiasts with their early series landrovers and defenders both new and old, including the Powerful UK boys with their new 110 defender. Despite lots of searching I failed to spot any fullfatRR stickers on display. Where was everyone? Other than Craig’s fatty spotted by the Range Rover Owners club I only spotted one other members RR which is a bit of a shame as it would have been good to meet up a few more of you guys for a chat. Anyway for those that didn’t attend here’s a few pics from the day to give you a feel for what was on show.
