Hazards and interior light on when I get in the car??

As the subject states the interior light and hazards lights have come on a few times when we first enter the car. Just happened to me now when I came back to the car after a trip to the shops. I thought it was strange as I couldn't remember leaving them on. The wife just told me that's happened to her a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. Also had trouble locking the car once home. Fob wouldn't lock the door but seemed to arm the alarm? Managed to lock the door by making the alarm go off and that seemed to reset it and now it's fine. Any ideas what happening?

Is the tailgate or bonnet full closed - IIRC the flashing indicators mean the alarm system has been disturbed 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Nah checked them first. The interior lock switch didn't work either on the drive back. Ex FFRR 4.2 Supercharged

I have noticed this problem too, now I'm not saying it's connected but I've had the door lock on the drivers side replaced recently due to it not locking on the fob and since then I haven't noticed it, not sure if connected or just coincidental but may be worth looking into.

How strange we had this problem with our jag just before the passenger lock went. I'll just wait and see. Ex FFRR 4.2 Supercharged

Had that on my TDV8, did it about once every month so I just ignored it. Never led to anything else.

That's good to know. Hopefully it will just go away.

Sounds like a dodgy door lock/sensor so it's not telling the car it's unlocked/open. When you open the door (as the lock itself works) the sensor does not pick up it's unlocked and therefore thinks the car is being broken into and set off the alarm. Ash

The alarms only ever gone off once. It's hazards on and interior light thing that seem as tho they uave been left on that the weird thing. I'll jst leave it hope it.goes away.

just to be sure, have you checked each door/tailgate when you have locked the car. ... - .- -.
