First thing to check on the spare tyre oggy is the dot date? If it's never been used then the chances are the tyre is scrap as it's been on the wheel since the day it left Solihull and been sat in the back for 14 years. I found that out myself with mine and was rather chuffed until someone on here pointed out the dot date and sure enough, made in 2008 and 13 years in storage. Tyres I believe only have 8 year life span legally.

hi yes i will check i do no what you mean it has come in to the mot now i put one on a pick up a couple of months ago and it was the spare 2003 brand new tyre i will have a look tomorrow and report back thanks for your comments oggy new vehicle purchase
