Help!!!! TDV8 issues

Evening all,

after some help having some issues with my TDV8 L322. biggest issue is it no longer starts. Sad

the story goes i was moving house the other weekend moved in and went to collect the RR jumped in fired it up and drive off only to et around the corner then die, but would crank just not fire. called the AA and they managed to get it going some how im not sure how nor is the AA, it came up with a few errors on dash one being transmission so would only left me drive at 30MPH. but i though sod it its running get it to the other side of town to the house. roll on a few weeks the RR has just sat there as have been a bit occupied. tried starting it the other day it fired right up no eros no nothing ran it for a few mins and shut it down did the same later that dad and ran and then just cut out and now it no longer even cranks and half the warning lights on the dash are missing Sad

managed to get the code reader on it this eve and its not seeing a number of modules and has errors all over the place. not sure where to begin any help would be greatful

Have you checked you battey voltage, if its low you will get all sorts of ghost codes. You should be looking at 12.3 volts + for a good battery.

a thread resarection here, with an update i forgot to post some time ago.

after a lot of investigation by a indpendant issue tunred out to be a faulty ignation switch that had partly failed. once replaced all was good and all issues and fautls went away.

At least you sorted it in the end. Those type of things can be a pain to find. Back in the 80s a friend of mine had a series 3 Jag XJ6. Was lovely…. But would just die randomly as you were driving… all of it….. after much investigation over months, was a short at the back of the dash.
