Easy to do a diy fluid and filter change then add some Dr Tranny to the new fluid. You can always just add the Dr Tranny... Sounds like Torque Converter judder

The above post would be my first answer. Did it happen just the once? have you tried to re-create the exact situation to see if it does it again? If not, it may be possible that you had a momentary fuel or throttle issue that cleared on kick down when applying more throttle. Maybe wrong, just a thought, if so I would go with the above first, rather than diving straight into a box / TC change / overhaul. At that mileage the box should be OK. Fingers crossed |

It’s had a very slight judder before but I didn’t think anything of it but know it’s been more prevalent I now know that’s what it was. Is the dr tranny safe to put in? And also is it a temporary fix or more permanent? As the box is still low mileage I want to protect it the best I can and would I be better putting a new TC in?

Happened to us . On a 35k ZF HP6 a few months back. First port of call was a diagnostic with Mr Gearbox , Sheffield. Turns out it was caused by dodgy reluctor rings and rear abs sensors.. Sending duff speed signals to the gearbox ecu , especially when it was downshifting.

you can do a test, put in drive, roll down the window, and let it go, if you hear it crawling, (noise like pads on the iron) it means that the converter is compromised |
