Trailer connected

Hi Guys

How many of you guys tow with an L322 that was fitted with a tow bar from new?

1) Do the rear parking sensors off when you plug in the trailer plug and you select to reverse?

2) Do you have to turn off sensors each time you select reverse on the dash?

The reason for the question is I have retrofitted a tow bar and wiring plug I have told the car that a tow bar is fitted using an IID Tool but when selecting reverse the beepers are still going?
I have been in touch with Pat from Gap and he said that it cannot be done on the L322 model or the L405 up to 2017?
after that date, JLR overcome the problem from 2017 onwards?
What is your experience with towing?
I was sure with my other 2011 L322 they turned off when selecting reverse?

Not factory fitted, but I have the same issue with a towbar recently fitted to my 2011MY. PF Jones 13 pin electrics, fitted by Indy, programmed in. THe indicator light for the trailer flashes on the dash as it should, but the sensors don't deactivate, irritating! Drives:

not sure if the 2012 is different but I told my car via the iid tool that I had 13 pin electrics and it works perfect?
Sensors turned off little trailer on dash, may be worth trying to tell the car again 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8

My car has been told it's got a towbar, Indy did it when fitting, but the sensors still don't turn off. Drives:

According to Pat from Gap, it cannot be done?

From Pat? It just does not work on these earlier L322, it will always beep when in reverse with a trailer. Others have tried including us and never suceeded.

Its the case until 2017 cars. Blame LR.

You can try if you want;

I have granted you access to the complete CCF:
-Connect the tool on a computer, do not start the updater software.
-Using the mobile App, connect on the tool ''In Bootloader''
-Wait until file loading is completed

Keep in mind that 80 % of the CCF is not taken into account by the car. Also, do not change safety or critical settings which could cause issues.

Pat is a top bloke and he knows more about the iid than any of us but I’m talking from my experience and it’s on the menus to select either 7 or 13 pin which I selected the latter and my reversing sensors switch off when the trailer is connected I’m sure many others will come and say the same 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8

Would that be in the CCF folder?

My factory fitted tow bar on a2010 turned the reverse sensors off and also the car rear fog lights.

The fog lights were not wired through a switch in the socket.

Why can’t I get that menu on mine?
After market bar, genuine 13 pin socket and wiring loom fitted by the dealer! They had it back twice and couldn’t programme the bar electrics!, to turn off the fogs and sensors and I’m sure it should also lock the suspension in normal! 2014 vogue se
