When stripping the rear callipers I removed the sliding pins, they were covered in thick dark grease and were nice and free but I didn't notice until after cleaning them that they were different, one has a rubber part at the end...

I presumed that this went in the top hole to stop and shock loading tipping the calliper, but it could work just as well in the bottom...

So, does anyone know which hole it should go in...!!!!

hi haylands looks like the one with the rubber on goes in the top i think they call it anti vibration pin it is the one that all ways gets very tight as the rubber swells and stops sliding some people take them off new vehicle purchase

Thanks that's what I thought, the rubber looks new and it still fits well after 10 years so it go put back to use...  Pete
