Desperate need for the intank fuel pump

I have a 2007 Autobiography 3.6 TDV8

won't start, and fuel pressure is <2psi on the bleed valve, I pulled the pump from the tank and accidentally broke it, not a problem I suspect its duff anyway.

Except no one has stock of the unit, not even land rover, I also called a few breakers,

Does anyone here have a spare fuel pump from the tank, either the whole assembly or just the electric pump from inside the swirl pot?

Any help would be appreciated

I know it's not much help yet, but what, exactly, did you break?

There might be someone on here who can help with ideas or bits. Cheers

The pipe nipple on the actual pump, I still think the pump is no good, very low pressure and the truck won't start, but I am past the point of being able to re-assemble and let someone else take over 😂

Somewhere on here, IIRC, is a thread where a member has found a suitable replacement pump unit (just the pump bit, not the whole pot etc) which can replace the one you have.

It may take a while to search, and due to someone parking a b****y great ship in the way delivery may take a bit.

Worth a search Cheers

Great tip, I was trying to figure out a replacement, but finding one that fits and is 0.5 bar seems tricky, I'll search there.

The guy at Pentland land rover said it was because of brexit, but probably that combined with the issues at the Suez.

There is one guy on ebay selling a brand new one at 3x retail (as in dealer retail) criminal!!

Been rootling about so have a look at this thread:

https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic55618.html?highlight=intank

Wayneg's post, fourth in, has info on the pump he sourced. May not be the same as yours, but fair chance there will be something similar.

Also Johnsd1v8 on the 9th post bought a cheap replacement complete unit, may still be available

HTH. Cheers

Just to close this out,
I found a used assembly not far from here, put it in this morning and still wouldn't start, 240kpa is on the high pressure side, started to think it was the hp pump.

Anyway, long story short, I remembered the Aa guy trying "quick start" (forgot to mention this happened after I changed the Fuel filter) so I tried again but this time I used qs in both intakes, after some cranking it fired right up

So, it wasn't the pump (Aa guy was wrong) and I must have somehow got a lot of air into the hp side, even though the land rover manual says just bleed the LP side.

So if it won't start after a pump or filter replacement, try quickstart
