Hi there!

My driversside (left side), brake shield/dust shield started to rattle and I had to take it off.

Living in Sweden there are, to my knowledge, no spare part shops. So my question to you: Where can I get a good brakeshield/dust shield for left side front in good quality for a good price?


Any advice would be much appreciated.

You can get a new front left brake shield from www.island-4x4.co.uk for around £20 and they ship worldwide. You do not state which model/year you have but they have quite good stocks. Good luck.

Or just leave it off, took both off fatty offroader, no detrimental effects and stones don't get caught in it...  Pete

My model year etc should be visible, maybe Ive done something wrong. Anyhow, its a 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE (Fiji White)

It might be OK without one but living here where the winters are long and on the equivalent of an A road, they do tend to use salt on the roads should there be ice...so its maybe no so much dust shield more like avoiding salty ice slushies on the inside of the brakes... I dont know maybe dust shields are overrated..either way sooner or later they all rattle Fuji White 2011, 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Any other shops where you might get a new brake shield from? Island 4x4 say that Land Rover don't make these parts anymore and they don't stock any alternative product.

If it is rattling because the bolt holes have enlarged, a method that is used is to fit large (penny) wahers with the bolts.

Or could you rrivet a strip of metal to it? If that were approprate depending on the state of it. John
