Seat Covers

Sorry for the dry topic (no pun intended). Any recommendations for front and rear seat covers please? Off on family hols with the kids and dogs in July. Last year we were filthy and soaking the whole time but in our old Disco 4. I don’t really want to get the lovely light leather in the RR soaking etc so would like something that feels still relatively nice to sit on but well fitted and so protect the leather. Thanks for any help

I have a Titan Covers for garage visits. They lump all models under Land Rover

Inka ones might be more appropriate for your requirement. They make them for Land Rover iirc

Land Rover accessory seat covers will be the best option, though not the cheapest. They retain all the functionality of the seats (including allowing for airbag deployment at the front, Q if all the alternatives do?) and are available in black or sand colours. I've got the LR ones. The rear ones on mine have an oddity in that the velcro in the area below the armrest does not match up properly. I raised that with LR via the supplying dealer but got nowhere, that however is the only disappointment. Subject to that, I'd recommend the LR ones. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Depends on the FFRR model year. No-one, not even LR, does fitted seat covers for the latest (2018 onwards) car now that the seat controls are on the door. I tried Inka and they didn't fit the 2018 facelift car. Ok up to the Facelift model though. All LR cars from 1984

Do you want waterproof, or waterproof and nice and comfy?
I have always used www.overthetop.co.uk for my cars for the last 7+ years. Their custom covers aren't cheap, but they last, and you dont feel out of place leaving them in situ.

July might be tight, they have about a 3 week lead time right now, but its worth calling them up. If you explain about the seat controls they can make a tailored cut out for those.

You can get LR ones for the MY2018 onwards but unlike previous generations where you could get them to match your leather colour, they only come in Black, part number is VPLGS0439PVJ, they have 2 different style headrest covers for if you have front seat entertainment, but has been mentioned, they're eye expensive.

As I've just taken up jogging I decided to fit the genuine Land Rover front seat covers to mine as I have a tendency to stop off in the nearby woods for a jog on the way home from work. With the state I'm in after just a few minutes with sweat pouring from all orifices I didn't fancy the leather being trashed.
I also fitted a set of the genuine covers in my previous L322. For the day to day driving I found them to preserve the leather nicely. If we were going away for a weekend or taking people out then I would take them off. Easy enough to do.
