Hi all. I am constantly getting around a shocking 15-20 mpg from my 2012 TDV8. At this rate I should've bought the supercharged! Can anyone give me an idea of what could be wrong? I suppose the first thing I should do is run a diagnostic check done? Thanks all

A leak is the most obvious...

Black smoke indicates a rich mixture...

Are you getting the MPG from the on board computer or working it out between fill ups..?

Is the FBH (if you have one) set to remotely come on..? Pete

If you drive it like Miss Daisy all the time, it will probably at least want a good clear out.... though I appreciate Miss Daisy didn’t do the actual driving

Lol. No jacking attempts...yet...I live in Cape Town which is not prime jacking territory...yet. No black smoke unless I really open it up which I do every two weeks. No FBH either that I know of anyway.
Leak? U referring to fuel tank leak.yes? None that is evident.
Car has done 75000miles and been a proper Wednesday car..
I've owned 5 of these 2011/2012 TDV8S and all of them have given me around 32-35 MPG.
So frustrating
