I bought a 12 month EE data only SIM off amazon and it works fine (well, on 3G only) - my question is, how long did you wait for it to see if it worked? I left mine in the car for ages before it registered. By that I mean I gave up waiting, locked and left it and it was a few hours later when I checked and it showed a signal.

Get the "Internet with Legs" sim from 3 (Amazon give choices depending on Gb), or get one from UBIGI which is the dedicated LR sim on new cars, again with a number of options. All LR cars from 1984

I have recently refreshed mine with 24gb 2 year 4G SIM from Three (around £45 from Amazon). I registered the SIM in my iPad first and then transferred it to the car. All good SDV8 AB MY 2019

I’ve got a 12 month 3 Sim in mine as I wasn’t sure whether I would like the LR NAV or would just use CarPlay and it’s been fine but it did take an hour or so to register with the Network which is fairly normal. I’ve just bought a 24 month Sim which will need to go in next week. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

The issues in mine were diagnosed as bent pins and I had to have a new reader. Others have reported the same so my guess is it a poor design and easily fubarred. Its possible that some damage was done during the adapter insertion/extraction if it wasn't straight forward. So may need another LR check?? Just an idea. Thanks for all of the responses. I’m going on a drive to London tomorrow (2 hours min each way) so will see if that jogs it into life.

They already have telematics built in so you'd think it would make sense just to add another feature on the incontrol package with annual subscription. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography
