2012 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Barolo Black

Road Debris!!!!!!

Sigh driving home today horrible noise all of a sudden so pulled over quick thought it was all over!!
passenger side rear long metal bar stuck in the tyre and as it spun with the tyre has scratched the side of my fatty!!
tyres are only 1 year old and in great shape but now have to get a new pair (Dont like mixing part warn with new)

got to get a quote to get the paint work restored!!

so if anyone knows where this can be done please let me know. a very expensive day due to some horrid person disposing there rubbish in the road 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

Ah.. yes... we had very much the same problem!

This was actually in the F-Pace and the Fun Prevention Officer was going over a raised pedestrian crossing (so, in her words, 'not fast...') when this must have been spun out by the front wheel and caught the rear tyre square on!

Fortunately, it didn't damage the rim but the kicker was that this size and specification is normally only available to order and not simply sitting on the shelf for an emergency.

As a result, she ended up with a FFRR / D4 spec 20" tyre which we used to get her home and have subsequently fitted the 'correct' specification of tyre to the Jag as they (allegedly...) have a habit of reneging on warranty claims if tyres aren't as per the original specification / matching!

Another gratuitous puncture shot for you...

Having said that, I'd far rather it damaged a tyre than go through the windscreen on a faster bit of road or some such accident...

Bad luck all round.

I can recommend Chips Away, I made a mess of the back bumper on my BMW reversing at night in a country lane. Couldn’t tell you now where the damage was. Cost about £200 two years ago. 2012 L322 TDV8 Vogue SE: Buckingham Blue

Some may recall about a year ago, I had just that , angle iron hit the windscreen and then the panoramic roof. Fortunately both were covered as glass & £75.00 excess. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Some years ago now, I was driving down the A50 in a 530d at a fully legal 65, In the dark….

Then bang, a whole HGV tyre carcass in the right hand Lane. Fortunately someone in front of me must have nudged it towards the centre as i caught it on the drivers side front. Ripped 25% of the bumper off, the arch liners, bent an arm, basically a real mess.

No comp from the highways, cost me about £900 to sort it all out. Could have been much worse though! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

All done new boots and new rear shock, sadly the other rear shock is unbranded so cannot make up my mind if i should swap it out!!
