It was indeed a top day out despite managing to lose a cover from underneath. Must also confess to using a jetwash on the way back to the caravan site. I figured we might have been asked to leave if I didn't Smile

Thanks to the chaps who acted as our guides for the day, much appreciated.

Thanks also to Stan and Justin, both decent blokes which made a good day better.

Will post some of my pics when we get back later this week.

Dom.

@ richard, thanks mate, i thought it was only for about 2 hours or so but it turned into a 6 hour trek, great fun.

@dom, you cheated then by cleaning the range before the inlaws saw it. Laughing ..did you jet wash yourself cos you did get a bit covered in muck. Very Happy ... - .- -.

Looking at the pics makes me regret even more that I wasn't able to join in. Even worse one of the things I had to stay up here for was a medical appointment at 9:30 this morning which was cancelled because the specialist is ill! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

It was a great day hooning around the Salisbury Plain Very Happy

We certainly were not driving the biggest equipment out there.

A lovely view indeed.

Stan, Dom, have you opened your bonnets yet?

I washed my car on my parents drive before I headed back to Cambridge, (I decided I would give my dad something to do today, cleaning his drive Smile)

My engine was caked in sandy mud, I washed off what I could with a sponge and very light hosing, but it's going to take a most of the weekend getting it clean again, its every where. In hindsight it was not such a good idea to try a 0-60 run in a swamp.

A couple of mine as promised. Some heavyish hardware from the Army and some rather more civilised transport waiting for the off.

Any yes, caked in baked on mud. Now I have an excuse to spend all weekend cleaning it Very Happy
