I think if you still had the car, you could claim for diminution, but as you've now sold it and accepted the loss, I don't believe there's anything you can do to claim retrospectively. |

I think you are sunk here. You cant show them the damage as you dont have the car anymore. you dont have any receipts for fixing the damage, nor can they get it fixed own your behalf.

IT seems you've figured out why claims take so long. It is in THEIR best interest...

Can you get it in writing from the purchaser that they paid £XXX less for your vehicle due to the condition of the paintwork?

Sorry to hear about your issues. As others have said, as you no longer have the car, you can't produce evidence of a loss.

Borderline fraud, but as long as you read & word everything carefully and don't claim to still have the car....

Yes, talk to his insurers and also yours. If you stick at it, I am confident that you'll 'win'.

I don’t know how much you hope to get out this but have considered the potential for loss of NCD?

This has nothing to do with car insurance or no claims bonus. This is a builders public liability

Insurance is insurance and everything is stored on shared databases, I expect a loss adjuster trying to avoid a future claim might have a different view to you.
