Ticking when cold

When I start up my 4.4 TDV8 in the mornings I’m getting a ticking noise from under the bonnet, it sounds like something on the serpentine belt but I can’t see anything, when you rev it up the noise goes so I thought about the viscous fan. Has anyone got any ideas?
After a few minutes it’s all quiet. Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I had similar on my supercharged. It was a sort of metal clicking noise that went away after a few mins. Turned out to be the viscous fan.

Well that’s funny you should say that, I have been thinking much the same. I will investigate a little more. Cheers Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Just an update
I put my car into my local Land Rover specialist and it seems like the bearings on the belt tensioner had started to break up, the rest of the pulleys were showing their age so I had them all replaced under warranty. I had to pay for new belts so everything is now quiet with no ticking Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
