Listening to one of my favourite albums when driving recently I felt unwell. Not because I have suddenly stopped liking the music, but the way that the 3D audio and subwoofer combination of the 1700 Signature audio stuff made me feel physically unwell. I’ve not experienced this on any indoors HiFi.

If you’ve got one and want to give it a go, the track is “Welcome To The Machine” from “Wish You Were Here”. Volume 20-ish will do the trick! 2016 SDV8 AB

I can confirm that the beginning of the same track makes me feel uncomfortable as well, and it’s on the 825W system…
On the other hand, the bass in Aero Dynamik from the 2003 album Tour de France Soundtracks by Kraftwerk, is making my right side front door rattle at the same volume (20)… If I push the door card, it stops… But I haven’t found out yet how to stop this without dismantling the door… It’s one of the very few tracks that do this…

I’ve just swapped a troublesome 2017AB that had the 825W for a 2015AB that has the 1700W Signature. The 825W was very good, but the Signature is in a different league, particularly when you crank it up a bit. It conceals road and engine noise incredibly well but is also so much more revealing and spatially open that the 825W. You really can hear a huge difference, even when Bluetooth streaming music from an iPhone.

Is it worth £4K.....if you are really into music and listening to it quite loud, I would say yes, definitely. Of course, easy to say when you don’t have to spec and pay for it on a new car!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but my 2013 AB with the 1700w Meridian system has developed a nasty buzz, I think it is coming from the nsr door, anyone else suffered this? Is there a easy fix?

Thanks in advance,

Dave. 2013 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

So, if the Signature system has speakers in the roof/headlining, does that mean it can’t be fitted with the panoramic roof?

There is road noise and in the PHEV variant, when I rode in the back once, I thought a door was open, I could hear the road noise from the rear left wheel...

adara, have you had any tyres changed? Pirelli do two tyres for this, one with PNCS (noise reduction) and one without. Our P400e's leave the factory with PNCS tyres. Could be worth checking.

From Pirelli's site:
The PIRELLI NOISE CANCELLING SYSTEM™ (PNCS) is a technology able to reduce the noise inside the vehicle thanks to a sound absorbing device applied to the inside circumferential wall of the tyre, reducing noise by half. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

I checked, I have (from the factory) Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season. No PNCS. At least I don't have to change them for the winter...
