No going back now!

Took the plunge and bought my first Full Fat RR, the ride is amazing. Had her just over a week now and loving it, got a nice long journey coming up next week, looking forward to that.

Very nice. My favourite wheels. Not a fan of the front tints though.....

The front window tint does look a bit dark at that angle, current rules state "The front windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows must let at least 70% of light through."

Insurance would need to be informed it's non standard and PC Plod would have you remove it at the roadside if you were stopped, very embarrassing. Of course it could be perfectly fine but I'd probably want to check it for peace of mind. When it comes to insurance I always err on the side of caution because if they can find any excuse not to pay out, they'll use it, 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE

Nice
Job #1 = blank the EGRs with an ebay kit to reduce risk of them being ingested by the turbos
Job #2 = digitally map them out and get a remap via Bell Auto Services or Bodsy (mobile)
Job#3 = Megaflush the gearbox by someone like Bodsy (mobile)
Job #4 = Change all the other oils and filters
Job # 5 = drive to pub and get chauffeured back Rolling with laughter Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

DrRob - #3 and #4 will be taken care of tomorrow. Very tempted to get the EGR's blanked and the remap done at some point as well. Mind you, she goes pretty well as it is! #5 is also on the list!

dennij - the garage i bought it from applied the front tint for some reason. To be honest it's not as dark as it looks in the pick and from the inside you don't notice too much difference between that and the front window. Might remove it though as it does look a little 'dealer'ish Smile
