How many miles....

....can I go with the brake pad warning light on before I replace them?

The warning light lit up on Saturday and Mrs D needs to do a 150 mile trip, motorway only, next week. I’m struggling to get my garage to change them before then. Mileage will be minimal before then.

I really don’t want to damage the rotors!

I did forum search but couldn’t find an answer.

No experience of the 405, but on one of my 322s the warning light came on just as I was about to go on holiday with the car. The dealer assured me that one got plenty of warning and said I would be fine. I was, and I'd think that 150 motorway miles would be OK in a 405 also (I did well over 150 miles). Only Range Rovers since 1988
