i broke my passenger wing mirror glass and went to taggarts in motherwell to buy a new one and they quoted £183 just for the glass!
ive been told a x5 mirror is the same ?
or where is the best place to buy a replacement

Taggert's did this to me last year and they are wrong again Your car is a face lift model so an X5 mirror wont fit and the price they have quoted is for Photo Chromatic glass which I presume you don't need unless for some strange reason you have auto dimming wing mirrors , you need the blue tinted glass that comes in at about £90 .
The £183 glass is a gold colour and I bought one and fitted it realised my mistake but Taggert's wouldn't take it back as I had damaged the box Luckily my Dad now has a spare glass for his VSE. 2008 MY Supercharged

as mine is an se it wont have auto dimming mirror's
mine are tinted blue+heated
