It seems the OE blades may well be Valeo, the part number for the pack of two front is 577933 (VF933) but are very hard to find and are considerably more expensive than the Bosch ones. I have a set on order so will try to remember to update the thread when they are delivered.

Found them on autodoc... 40EUR (35.7GBP)!!! But looking at the pictures from the link, they don't look like the ones that came with the car... The ends have the square plastic caps like the Bosch...

https://www.autodoc.de/valeo/12780779

In my opinion, the Bosch wipers I bought are better than the ones that came with the car... But I'll see during the winter...

Coincidentally I’m going to try Valeos again. I gather that the L405 Valeo model numbers are VH148 and VH152. 2016 SDV8 AB

I just replaced the rear wiper blade on my 2015 car and Euro Car Parts sent out the wrong one on an online order (their listing was incorrect), after a week of messing about they finally sent the correct Bosch which is reference SP17. This should work for 2102 - 2105 cars Thumbs Up

Valeo blades now arrived and fitted for a few days. Very pleased so far.

The part numbers which arrived were labelled VM rather than VH but fitted perfectly.

Available through an online merchant which sounds quite like a South American river. 2016 SDV8 AB

Wipers Fitted Incorrectly.....!!

I thought it was strange that my drivers side wiper was shorter than passenger but having read this thread it seems they are different but that at some point whoever has replaced the wipers has fitted them on the wrong side Rolling Eyes

I'm not going to swap them as I like the fact the big wiper clears so much of the passenger side but now it's got me thinking that I might change the short 20" one for a 24" on the drivers side but my concern is that the blades might touch with two 24" ones on.

I don’t think it would work, but haven’t tried it.

I’m guessing what you have now is the set up that would be used for a LHD model.

Did you fit same size wipers or stick with different size ones? 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

Stuck with the 24 and 20 (came as a three piece set for L405) so sorry, can't help with the 24 and 24 question.

Has anyone done this on a MY17 and does it work well?

Some over enthusiastic wiper cleaning meant I started to split the OEM front wipers ... so thought I'd have some fun with this when I changed them for some new Bosch Aerotwins.

So for a 2017 model....
As mentioned the right kit is A113S which gives you a 24" blade for the drivers side and a 20" blade for the passenger. They are an easy swap without needing to move the wipers as there's just a small square button to push on the clip while gently pulling them off. The new ones push on and click when the clip engages. You don't need to lift the wipers more than a few mm above the screen to do it. So that was easy.

Then I thought I'd swap the 20" blade on the passenger side for another 24" like the drivers side. It fits. It works.

This is how close the ends are with 2x24"

However I noticed that when operating the 24" on the passenger side it arcs slightly above the windscreen when vertical.

I don't think it would cause a problem like marking the paint, but its probably not ideal. So I thought I'd get a 22" and try that instead. The number is AP22U, but as noted above although it comes with 4 alternative clips, none fit the 2017 Fatty. Its easy to see that those options are number 1,2,3, and 4 whereas the clip on the correct wiper is numbered 6. I have asked Bosch if they would sell clip number 6 but they wont deal with me only their distributors. I then asked two of their distributors. One turned me down flat, the other - Eurocarparts - never bothered to reply, so I guess the answer is no. However it was a pretty trivial process to prise off the clip number 6 from one of the 20" wipers and clip it on to the 22" blade. That fits well.
The ends aren't quite as close when parked

And the sweep doesn't stray past the top of the screen while still providing a usefully increased cleared area. So I'm sticking with that.

I did also do the rear wiper while I was at it. Std Bosch flat wiper A425H. Its a bit more fiddly to change. There's two lugs that need to be squeezed together a bit right at the end of the clip, and then you can wrestle it off by pulling. The new one pushes on in the reverse process, but takes a bit of furtleing to get it properly aligned and the tabs to spring back out. I did it using the - open the boot with the wiper on when its vertical - method which is not a great idea. Would be much better to go through the process to get it in service position outlined in earlier posts. With the powered tailgate half open, its all to easy for it to want to open or shut while you're trying to work.
