Second engineer on very large crude oil tankers ( VLCC's )

This may interest some, see link below for video showing one of the tankers I have worked on a few times.
Part of the video is photo shopped to give people a true impression of the size of these vessels, as when you see most photos, there is no reference point(s) to show the true size.
Hope people find it interesting, it is definitely not a normal job.

I'm a European courier, I drive all over mainland Europe delivering mainly aircraft landing gear for those pilots who have come in for a bad landing and aero engine components. Also do F1 logistics and cruise ship deliveries. Great fun chasing a cruise ship around Europe.

I was an ROV pilot / supervisor (Remotely Operated Vehicle Under Water) in the oil and gas industry, I left that when I'd jumped through all the hoops that the Civil Aviation Authority wanted to become a training entity for commercial drone operators. Been doing this for 15 years or so as a Commercial Director for another business but had a concern in 2019 that they were struggling, so handed my notice in with a view to doing my own thing. Lo and behold, they held me to my 6 months’ notice, meaning that we actually started with our name over the door in March 2020.

Timing, huh?
