United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Adriatic Blue
A dream has come true! My new to me 05 td6 vogue!

I thought I would introduce myself.
Yesterday I collected a 2005 td6 vogue after wanting one since they came out all those years ago.
I was brought up around Landrovers. We have had lightweights, 90’s, disco 1 and 2 and 1 classic RR with an Isuzu 2.8 conversion. We used to 90s to comp safari.
It’s been a while, about ten years since LR ownership and the time finally came when I could justify to get one.
That’s where this came in.
It’s done 144k had a new gearbox 35k ago, new turbo and a massive file of history.
The body is in great condition as is the interior and obviously looks well cared for and maintained!
Typically on the drive home the air suspension inactive came on and the battery is on its way out. I popped into my local indi who put it on Diagnostics and told me it needed a new compressor. He told me to get on from eBay and he will fit tomorrow afternoon. I’ve ordered a new battery and hopefully that and the compressor will sort it out.
Also some other jobs to do are: investigate heavy steering, get the driver heated seat to work, get the heated steering wheel working, re gas the air con and give it a good valet!
Already love the car.
I’m sure they will be lots of questions to come!
Cheers

Great colour and I'm always amazed at how nice the leather looks given the age and mileage. Looking forward to seeing more... 2012 L322 TDV8 Vogue SE: Buckingham Blue

Looking good , interior particularly nice. Would be worth checking the pesky rear wheel arches and sills Holland and Holland Range Rover By Overfinch

The wheel arches are quite good with only a little bubble thus far. Next is the steering I feel it’s the sensor behind the drivers wheel....

Nice day out today! Radio stuck on LR screen has had the Bluetooth bypass already so I’m sure it’s just a loose connection

Most at that age suffer from heavy steering... A good test is to get it on an A road and turn off/exit from quite a high speed braking heavily... Then when you drive around the bend exiting the A road, see how long it takes for the steering to lighten up! Some take an excessive amount of time, this can be the valve on the side of the rack as you mentioned... If it doesn't lighten up, then you must have an issue elsewhere?

Very interesting. I will try that technique.
The steering when stationary is quite light it’s just when you start to move. I love the car though. The only other point is that the HDC inactive light comes on sometimes when starting although it has just has a new battery. The car cranks over very quickly though. I wonder if it’s a drain somewhere or just some character!

It went lighter! Must be the valve
