A quick search suggests there are all sorts of key fob options available but I’m struggling to tell the difference between the £3.50 and £33.50 versions.

Any recommendations for replacements that aren’t going to fall to bits in six months time?

My buttons are on the way out so any recommendations or advice on which to choose, preferably based on experienced from particular sellers, would be most welcome.

I bought the cheap ebay / Ali Express copy of the original LR key a while back, still working fine.

These are the ones I bought, 2 for both keys about 14 months ago.

The new style keys are really good and would love to upgrade to a more recent fob but I suspect that might be a step too far.

I'm hoping someone can recommend an upgrade for the early keys, whether it is a direct replacement fob or a way to fit the guts in a more recent body.

You could also have a look at a locksmiths if you wouldn't mind something after market. I recently had a spare key made for mine and got this one. Very pleased with the quality.
