This description was provided by Peter himself:

"The vehicle was bought in 2014 just before I retired, potentially as a daily driver and occasional tow car for my own classic car restoration projects. My newish RR had done just 80,000 of its total 89,000 miles in its first 6 years and then spent 20 years in a private collection doing an average of 400 miles per year".

"It comes with continuous MoT certificates since 1993 and a full service record up to 1993, plus a fat history file, including all of the invoice during my ownership. It's as good as a RR this age can be in my opinion, totally free of chassis, sill and floor rust. It even has its original paint and rear window frame and tailgate. I bought the car fitted with Rimmer Bros tubular exhaust manifolds, a stainless exhaust system, overhauled callipers and refurbished wheels. Plus a perfect interior with new headlining."

"I've added new GAZ springs and shocks (all round), power steering pump, steering box and auto transmission fluid cooler. The gearbox has recent new fluid and filters plus all new copper/nickel brake pipes. The heads have been skimmed and fitted with composite gaskets as a precaution and as a result of a sticky thermostat (the bores looked perfect). The only obvious non-original feature is the DAB radio, fitted with the OEM factory unit failed".

"I have, apart from a trip to Le Mans classic, only used the car locally and with no towing. That French trip showed just how comfortable and air-conditioned Range Rover is in the mid 30s centigrade compared to my previous Le Mans trips in E-types and MGC's".
