It's always a thought as to what product should be applied when you clean the rubber car mats. I have tried various different rubber related products over the years but today I have found something that actually seems to work.

The mats were steam cleaned and when they dried they had a grey hue to them, not very appealing. I applied some tyre gel which initially looked fine, but once it had soaked in the grey was back and the mats looked like they had never been cleaned. Then I hit on the idea of a product called Chemical Guys Bare Bones which is for detailing underneath the arches. I sprayed a small amount onto a mat and wiped it over with a microfibre cloth, the results were 100 times better than previous attempts

why we are on the subject of mats does anybody have any odd mats they want to sell as i have the drivers one and the rear n/s but the other 2 are gone  "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

I also use the autoglym spray. Does a good job FFRR TD6 HSE

I find Autoglym Upholstery cleaner gives factory fresh look with no sheen on rubber mats, mnimal effort to apply too.

I have also found 5l containers on Ebay of Trade Autoglym products saves money versus Halfrauds.

If you meant Chemical Guys Bare Bones I would say yes it should be fine for the steps
