EPB - Should it come on when ignition off?

I've noticed that when I manually put the EPB on I get a red P symbol on the dash and the rear wheels are locked solid, but if I just stop and turn the ignition off there is no symbol and the car rocks on the gearbox as though the EPB isn't on. Should the EPB come on automatically when stopped or has a previous owner disabled it?

You have to put it on but it disengages automatically.

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.

Cheers Guys.

I'll have to remember to engage it. As it might be one of those "use it or loose it" that seizes up if not used Smile

Indeed it is one of those "use it or lose it".

You don't need to use it all the time but, using it once every 1-2 weeks will keep the mechanism working.

However, if it did ever seize, it's not a massive job. The motor tends to still work so, it's just a case of cleaning out the mechanism, new shoes and lubrication.

But, using it once a week will prevent it from seizing in the first place. Try and make it a specific day to help you remember e.g. Saturday when you get to Tesco. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

There is a setting in the IID tool to enable it automatically 👍

But...I haven’t tried it as I most of the time stop on our land and really don’t need it.

Does this need the GAP IID tool?

Changing the subject. Can the IID tool be used to programme the central locking to unlock all when clicking the remote fob once (instead of having to press once to unlock the driver's door and a 2nd time to unlock all doors) and, to unlock all when the key is removed from the ignition/ignition off? 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
