Rolling!

Hello to all,

I have had a L322 from 2005 years ago.

After few others since, I am know thinking of having one again.

I am considering buying a l322 4.4 tdv8 and I wanted to know if the "rolling" sensation kn this 4.4 model (2012) is the same than in the 2005 model or in the 3.6 tdv8?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

I borrowed a 2005 Td6 which led me to getting my 4.4 TDV8.
The Td6 rolled and I was expecting the same. Thankfully I experience very little Roll in mine, which is a blessing.

I occasionally throw mine around in quite a spirited fashion and considering that it's a 2.7 tonne 4x4 it rolls surprisingly little.

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.

The 4.4 TDV8’s have Adaptive Dynamics which takes control of the body roll. Thumbs Up 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

Yup if the 4.4TDV8 have the same active suspension as the 5.0SC then there is absolutely nothing wrong with its cornering. It works well and almost defies what a car of this size should be able to do in corners at speed.

It is not as good as the system Mercedes uses though, our GLS63 was flat like a skateboard, but whether that was just the suspension or also the seats as they were actively bolstering the seats as well wasn't always clear.

Anyway MY2010 onwards made a significant change in my opinion.

Correct. There’s a big difference between a 10MY 3.6TDV8 and 11MY/12MY 4.4TDV8. Suspension is certainly one of those.

However, it’s a heavy vehicle and the technology isn’t so cutting edge anymore so don’t be expecting miracles!

When I first got my snail version TD6, I was quite impressed by it's cornering abilities, but then I realised I wasn't going fast enough. Now my mates ask me if I sing sea shanties whilst driving it. Censored They can be cruel. Rolling with laughter
