I was worried that the 22s on my car would ride terribly, before I got it. I'd even lined up a pair of 21s to collect with the intention of swapping them out. However, I quickly realised I love the look as they fill the arches enough and the ride is far from compromised, in my opinion. Kev

I'd never considered 22's until I had a set on my new AB. They look the part and the ride is very good. They have new Scorpion Verde's and I can't fault them.




I also have a brand new set of 21's (style 1007) ready to go on if I feel like a change. Same as these ones I had on the Westie....

Paint the 20” Weston’s black and put some off-road tyres on them. Perfect for a bit of quarry fun

The thought had crossed my mind when I had the Westie but won't be doing that with my new one (at least not yet!!)

Don’t think the westie wheels will go on unfortunately....

The offset on the hub on the 405 is shallower so the 322 wheels will sit too close to the callipers....

As far as I could tell anyway! I would love to be corrected though! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

To me 22" do not look "bling", they look silly with not enough side-wall!

But then I am old and I guess it is what you are used to. When I passed my test in the 1970s large wheels with small side-walled tyres did not exist and to me they look "odd".

It never fails to amuse me how much people are willing to pay for wheels. It seems many are happy to pay good money to make their cars less comfortable in order to get a "better look" from the side. Paying to make your car worst, what is that all about?

Final decision made, I've opted for the style 7001 21" as a reasonable compromise between style and comfort. The 21" are smoother to drive than the 22", and have the added benefit of not being quite so paranoid about avoiding potholes, but suit the car better than the 20" [IMHO].

Mine came with 21s. Even putting 20s on with half an inch more sidewall made a massive difference to the handling and ride quality. Much better. Idk why people ride 22s because they look bling. You can’t see them while you’re driving and the car wasn’t engineered that way. You’re just adding massive unsprung weight (much more important dynamically than sprung weight) and you feel all the surface imperfections

I had 22"s on my L322 (L405 wheels) which looked ever so slightly oversized and a bit "much" after I had had it a while, the car drove much nicer on the stock 20"s I replaced it with.

Didn't want 22"s with my L405, and was specifically after the 21" Style9001 - which is what I got. When the car is clean they look spot on and I am happy with them. For the other 361 days a year they completely disappear and look far too small.

Missing my 22" Style 5004's now and want them back

I got my L405 with 22" Turbines on (spec sheet says it was originally fitted with 20" Stormers in silver). Lovely on motorways and smooth roads but I found the ride harsh otherwise which is most of the time - I don't do a lot of motorway miles.
