New General Grabber AT3s fitted

I just fitted a set of General Tire Grabber AT3 275/45/20 110V to my TDV8. I think they look the part and they are certainly better than the 295/45/20 chinese crap that were on it when I bought it. According to a spanish ITV (mot) website, the size is a permissible equivalent to the 255/50/20 standard 20" tyre fitment.
They do not seem to generate too much road noise either for a 50/50 A/T tyre.
Next thing on the long list of To Do is swap the headlights for LHD units. So mine will be up for sale.

Looking good, always been a fan , road noise ok. Good luck with the to do list. Quality tyres say a lot, it’s a bug bear on my wife’s Impreza STi fabulous car , loads of great work done on it then the last owner fell at the last fence with some budget tyres on the refurbished wheels. Willing the tyres to wear down just can’t justify chucking 4 nearly new tyres. Holland and Holland Range Rover By Overfinch

Indeed, and thus a lot more effective off-road. 👍

True, B UT in spain you have to have the load and speed rating to match the original Manufacturers tyre specification or higher. H rated 255/55/20 110H are not allowed!

That’s why I’ve got 255/55/20 GG AT3’s on mine.

Unfortunately in Spain, the ITV test wont allow that size as they are not within the tolerance of equivalent size.

Headlights have a lever to flatten the beam patten for occasional continental travelling but this is not accepted in the ITV (MOT) test.
its located by the side of the xenon bulb, easy to access but not a permanent solution sadly.
