Wouldn't surprise me as I had a problem with the car a few years ago in that the battery was flat after standing car for 2/3 days . Had it checked by an electrical bloke who though it was one of the ancilliary systems but could not narrow it down to a specific item. Then, 3 years later it dawned on me that the secretly fitted tracker unit obviously took a trickle charge from the car battery to keep its quite substatntial battery topped up and what do you know, it's also secretly tapped into ancilliary system .As the tracker battery had actually failed it was utilising only the car batt. and so the flat car battery. They didn't need to tell me where they put the unit, but reckon they could have at least mentioned what fuse they'd wired it to or sent me a reminder to have the battery changed every 5yrs!!! Steve

Would be a lot better if the Tracker sent out a message to the control centre that the battery was going flat and they contacted you to tell you. Don't think it would be a great push to get the existing technology to do that. |
