Does the satnav on my 2014 4.4 Autobiography receive automatic updates?

either way you go, its worth remembering that when you fire it up you may show no map. that is normal and will rectify itself once the car has fully shut sown and stood for an hour.

It seems LR are only offering a Q3/2019 update, and on the ones I have seen listed as 2021 non gen versions they all say " most up to date HDD maps available" So probably a renamed LR rip.

I would hazard a guess that nowadays it’s all about online micro updates in different formats. Besides with Apple CarPlay it’s always up-to-date

you could go to a stand alone sat nav using the igo primo software which is more up to date and easily updatable..

Out of interest; why use something as ugly as an iGo (or TomTom, Garmin etc) when you could either integrate with CarPlay or Auto, or even just use a mobile phone?
