Of 23 people voting - 9 have said to get LR to take the car back.
I have to say, still looking out on my driveway to see no FFRR, a filthy and smelly D4 and being unable to think back to any time when I just got in the RR without any problem to drive it somewhere... It does make me question why I have stuck for so long with Land Rover.
I think this will be the point I end my relationship with the green oval.

I had a low milleage 2004 Audi RS6 for 2 years as a motorway tool - and apart from eating tyres and brake pads, NOTHING broke or went wrong. That was infrequent use too, but long journeys - even on the continent. 48,000 miles later I sold it and lost just £6000 on the car.

Not much to say on VW group cars really. My wife and I both have one for everyday use.

You mean uncomfortable, old fashioned, cramped and with high emmissions+bad fuel economy.
Not to mention premature rusting and lots of body roll.

The Defender has seriously fallen behind now. The new Wrangler does 10mpg more and has far lower emmissions. Airbags too.

But I'd still have a Defender... I'd never part with mine.

But the TDci isn't immune from mechanical problems either - I keep hearing stories of premature failure of vacuum pumps and huge repair bills. "It's a characteristic of the vehicle sir..................." My 1996 Tdi 300 just keeps on running 78000 miles up in 15 years now and not one unscheduled stop for mechanical repairs - the chassis rotted through by the time it was 10 years old though But £4000 cured that with a shiny galvanised one and all new springs and brake system thrown in at the same time! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Mud plugger I have had similar issues and resolved my occasional failed start by using a bettery conditioner over night. Not had a failed start since. I see that option has not resolved your issue. All of my classic landies have been beter starters with conditioners attached too.

The design of the FFRR electrics is all in favour of keeping things live for convenience not low power consumption, which is wrong in my opinion.

External interference from house alarms and other radio sources can trigger the electrics to become alive and cause a continual drain. My friends Freeloader suffered from opening windows at an office he visited, attributed to local electrical interference.

You could replace it with another FFRR and get the same issue due to external interference. I am loyal to the brand, but they need to work, I would go for an Audi Q7 and have a car that starts. 2018 Range Rover Autobiography

It's 10:45 on Monday morning, and the car is now with the dealer (LR Assist or the AA as we know them recovered it on Saturday, because they "couldn't do it" on Friday).
I've heard from LR Assist by means of an apology for the delay in recovery, and so I've now had to make my own arrangements for travel until Thursday. We'll see if Jaguar Land Rover actually wake up and contact me..
The unfortunate and 'stinking' D4 is sat on the driveway, where they left it - waiting for collection.
