When does the FF Grin disappear?

Hi
My first post!!!!
How long does it take for the Range Rover grin to go away Smile

I have been lurking for some time reading and milking all your experience, knowing that I would soon purchase my first Range Rover.
So Tuesday it was at last time to handover my Discovery Sport Black HSE Silicon Silver and drive away my purchase.
Its a 2018 RRFF Vogue SE 4.4 SDV8 in Byron Blue just days out of its 3Y warranty.
It comes with 1Y approved Landrover warranty and many extra's. And very low milage.

I was thinking now is the best time, close to the end of lockdown, competition from other buyers is low and thought dealers would be more flexible on offers and itching for cash. I ended up having a shortlist of 3 cars and information from one of your posters influenced me to look Nationwide, especially London. During negotiations it was stressed I was buying this week and I had 3 favourites and was wanting their bottom price which again was challenged, it certainly worked for me. I ended up getting approx 5% off their sale price. I am sure many of you probably have got more than that off, but believe me I was over the moon. A perfect contact-less handover, all paperwork was done electronically and signed electronically and a sanitised car waiting for me.
I am still over the moon, what a drive back from London to Norfolk, as it got darker, I was blown away with the headlights Matrix DRL never experienced them before, the way the shade the traffic is amazing. The adaptive cruise control wow what a toy. I had seen HUD on other cars when they first came out and was not a fan, but in this RR wow so bright and clear and it even shows junctions/turn offs from sat nav amazing.
The wife lost me for the last few evenings as I self isolated in the car with shorts and teet shirt reading and discovering all its secrets, lol she nicknamed me Martin out of "Friday Night Dinner" Rolling with laughter
Who needs a shed lol Rolling with laughter
That's enough for now

Wonderful!! To answer your question, the smile never really goes even when things aren't quite right (which I hope doesn't happen to you!). If you get a problem with the software (Duo screens), get it back to the dealer immediately within your warranty!! Lovely cars and made for trips like your journey from London to Norfolk. It’s like a cult. I handed over about £2.8K in repairs a few weeks ago. And I was grinning and happy to be back in mine. And it gets worse, this is one of my oldest cars I have had that isn’t a classic. I only bought mine as a cheap in between car before we were going to emigrate.

A full fat Range Rover is a bit like the English Alfa Romeo of old I think. Despite a lot of flaws it just makes you happy.

When the recovery truck turns up Laughing

Only happen twice in 30+ years of ownership. Once on my P38, due to poor soldering by Lucas and once on my 3.6 with a cooked alternator
