2016 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Loire Blue
Last 405 or early 460

It is always a quandary when a new model is imminent, should I take a big discount and get an incredibly specked run out model or order a new model and put up with the teething problems.
Will the discount be wiped out by even faster depreciation, will the beta testing a new model be too challenging.
Decisions decisions. letters not necessarily in the right order

Usually For me I would go with an older model, if well discounted, however given the state of the car market at the moment, if you can find a discounted car you are doing very well.

Sometimes it pays to order early and wait...... Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Need more info....

How long are you thinking of keeping the RR?

What’s the % discount being offered?

How much of the discount is reflected in the cost of the options? I ask this because you can normally write off the value of the options (give or take) after 3 years. MY23 D350 HSE

If I had the inclination to buy a new Rangie I would probs be swayed by the bigger discounts/equipment on the outgoing model.

Also, if you look at the prices for the 2012 L322 - good ones with lots of toys are not that far off more basic spec MY13 L405 prices. Eg. see

I find that with new models imminent I cannot part with my money on the outgoing model unless there is a big time gap or undesirable option changes.

I also find that there are often very good 12-24 months lease deals appearing close to the actual launch of the new model. Often not with a choice of colour nor options, but generally well specified with the right options.

In many ways I'd rather have a fully loaded, properly sorted one of the old model then be an early adopter and have the teething and reliability issues of the new model.

Especially if the discounts are decent on the older model.

When you combine the inevitable price hike with the reality of zero discount for a while, being a L460 early adopter is a step up cash-wise. The list on mine was £120k, so I reckon a similarly specced L460 AB would easily be £135k to £140k, with no discount, suddenly it’s knocking on £30k more expensive. Then you also have the dilemma that not all drivetrains etc will be available at launch. So if I were buying new now I would go L405, then upgrade to L460 at leisure somewhere down the lune, e.g. when the all-electric one comes out! L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... That's exactly what my thoughts are, so I ordered a new one a couple of weeks ago with delivery late April/early May.

Will then keep it as long as it takes for all the bits and pieces to get sorted on the new model. Thumbs Up All LR cars from 1984

Trying to source these, only want the horizontaL accents, but my dealer says they can't get them on my new car! Seems odd.

Well today did not help. Had pretty well decided on a 5.0 Autobiography, took SWMBO in to convince her only to find how utterly stupid the fold forward on the rear seats is and if its 5.0 it has to be Autobiography. So roll on 460 with a decent engine and a usable boot. letters not necessarily in the right order

Looks like you can buy genuine ones here

Fitting them is a doddle with a plastic trim remover

I feel like doing the same as the pre-facelift L405 had the silver trim without the side vents 2021 L405 Vogue D300
