Jacking Up

Any problem leaving the RR jacked up like this so that the suspension is hanging... I am doing some preventative rust removal and coating this week so it will be a few days...

Its on good 2 ton axle stands and also a pair of 10ton bottle jacks are nipped up under the chassis rail as back up. Front Wheels are chocked.

I left mine up like that for a good couple of weeks when the brake pipes where being done and replacement flexis put on. I suppose you could put a bit of support under the wishbone so it's not at it's lowest extent but I didn't and nothing fell off or got broken.

(Well lots of other things are broken but totally unrelated to being left jacked up!)

Should be good too leave it like that but I'd also consider a trip too your local tyre centre and ask for a pair of decent size tyres like 265 plus. Wack them under the back. If the jack or the ground collapses it will land on the rubber tyre n hopefully prevent any further damage.

Just something I do if the car is being jacked up for a while
