United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Was off a 2020 and googling it seems to be a T91R - no idea what the r means but maybe I’ll just eBay it and buy the one you suggest and give that a go!

On my build log (from using the VIN decoder) I have this...

Engine Pre Heater - No Engine Pre-Heater [043BC]; Park Heating - Park Heating With Remote Control [043AV];
Heater Unit Operation - Fuel Burning Heater [043AB];

Does this mean I should definitely have a fob or did the early L405's only have the option to set timed climate from within the car.

Would also be cool to know if the InControl App should work with my car.

You should definitely have a fob. However, the InControl App functionality for the FBH only came in on 16MY AFAIK.

United Kingdom 2019 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Loire Blue

Hello all - new to here but hoped one of you may have some experience on this...

I picked up a 3 year old 2019MY SDV8 L405 just prior to Christmas and am thoroughly confused by the FBH. The spec sheet printed from Topix says I have one on the car and sure enough I can see the Webasto unit nestled in the top left corner of the engine bay.

But... there is no menu for timed climate on the infotainment system and no remote fob to operate it from outside the car. I'm not really bothered about the timed climate as I don't commute in it but would like the fob.

I talked to LR and they were predictably unhelpful and said the car didn't come with a fob and I could use incontrol to pre-heat, which isn't the same thing as it starts the car and part of the point of the pre-heater is to warm the block through prior to starting.

Does anyone know if you can retrofit a FBH fob to a facelift L405 or will it now not have the Webasto telestart module/aerial fitted? And if not, can I add that module plug and play to a facelift model or would the wiring have to be fiddled with?

Cheers!

I've recently picked up a MY2019 SVA. Petrol and has a Webasto fuel burning heater under the bonnet. The build sheet said: Fuel Operated Heater + Timer + Remote.

I have timed climate available via the screen, but no fob. I have a fob, receiver and aerial removed from my Discovery 4, but cannot get the fob to pair with the L405. Feeling about under the D-pillar, it feels as though the receiver is in place.

Do I need to buy a different fob, and if so, which one for MY2019, petrol Webasto?

The L405 has an Eberspacher FBH, not a Webasto.

I stand corrected! So from Webasto on the L322, to Eberspacher on the L405, then back to Webasto!
