Have a look at ownerinfo.landrover.com, select your model year and then go into In Control Overview. It gives the site address for new owners to register. You'll need the VIN details. There is also a facility for downloading a certificate that the car has a tracker from the factory. Some insurers expect a third party certificate for post-build installation and need the LR process to be explained to them before they will accept it. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

Hi guys thanks for the replies, yes I have only bought the remote but when I try to subscribe to the tracker (£260) I can’t, it appears that you cannot upgrade a subscription and that I’m stuck with just the remote.... has any done this is the past and is there a work around

The problem might be that the former owner has not removed the vehicle from their In Control account, easily forgotten/not bothered about when selling or trading in. If you bought from a LR dealer they ought to be able to sort it, otherwise try LR Customer Relations 0370 5000 500 I think. There might be a need to prove ownership, probably a bit of a hassle, so via dealer might be easiest. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |
