United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Santorini Black
A day in a life of a Range Rover owner

They say it comes in three’s well here’s mine Monday 15th Feb I brought a Range Rover 2011 4.4 autobiography beautiful motor the wife doesn’t like it so I told her that she doesn’t have to sit in it 🤣🤣.
Went to work on the Tuesday evening late shift parked it in the car park and it rained for the next few days and as such Coventry council had applied a bonding agent to panels on the fly over and it leaked all over my bonnet headlight and bumper £5k worth of damage😡. Few days later she then goes into limp mode the IID TOOL clears it then it comes back again 😡 but I can live with it until I get a day off. Oil now leaking from the rear I’ve ordered new seals and waiting for a day off. Now today jumps in the car and now the DPF filter says it’s full yellow light so a quick trip up the A46 and that’s now clear.
Please god I can’t take much more let me have a month worth of driving her 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😁

If you cant stand a joke you shouldn't have joined.

L322 is a great place to be when it's working right but a ticking bomb waiting to catch you out Very Happy

I took my wife for her COVID jab today, another woman came out, jumped into a RR Sport, as soon as she started there was the unmistakable noise of a turbo/engine runaway, loads of smoke etc, she was screaming trying to stop and was trying to open the bonnet, i suggested it would be better left and to retire to a safe distance. It took about 90 seconds before the bang happened, just before that the car leapt forwards about 2 metres (I assume something had seized in the gearbox, it must have been revving to 8000 ish). She too had just bought the car last month, private sale. Thats going to hurt!

Mine was pretty much reliable during the time I had it but I couldn't stand the suspense every time I started it up. It's now gone and I sleep easy. BMW i3 Electric Car

There’s nothing like the pit of despair!

Could have happily given my right arm for a box of matches & gallon of petrol last week when doing the idlers.

Took it for a run after finishing it & it was all forgotten.

There’s no better place than in a fatty Thumbs Up 2011 (MY12) 4.4 TDV8 Vogue

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zermatt Silver

Yesterday found the plastic under tray hanging down, broken, drilled holes and used cable ties for now. Now looking for another one. To add to the list of bloody parts needed.
Wondering what's going to be next to fail. Then today a nice young lass at the stables stops her discovery, nice silver one, 13 plate, and says to me how much she likes my Td6, says she did not like the disco at first ( and complained to her hubby ) but now loves it ( The disco that is, for those perverts and comics on here Whistle ) and is now trying to persuade her hubby to get a Rangie. So smile back on face.

So there is hope Simran, she may change her mind. Thumbs Up Love the 'told her she doesn't have to sit in it' comment, brave man Bow down

Yep after 21 years her knows who wears the trousers 🤣🤣 but the wife is slowly coming round now after her buddies fell in love with it. I’m just annoyed that I can’t get any of the work done on her and I’ve been told by the body shop not to wash her because of the bonnet and so she looking dirty

At least her indoors is changing her mind Simran Thumbs Up maybe her mates are jealous and women do seem to love that hoho. Yeah I know comments like that can get me into trouble Whistle

Hope all goes well with the local authorities insurers. Now off to synch new key to the fatty, as old BMW ones falling to bits. Lady who cut new keys destroyed one new key blade, so have to start all over again, she was very embarrassed, and did not charge me for the one completed. Next task clean the fatty, and to start de-rusting the underside so coatings can be applied, so 'I may be some time' as Captain Oates famously said.

Relatively new to this site and have now worked out that qualifications to join seem to be - (1) Be a comedian with a warped sense of humour (2) Good with the old spannering and fault diagnosis (3) Have masochistic tendencies, judging by the tales of woe I regularly read. (4) Have deep pockets for spares, this one is critical (5) Lastly,if attached, have a very, very understanding partner with a thick skin and sense of humour.
