We've got two L322's, both 4.4 TdV8's and both 2011 model year. One has Pirelli Verde All Seasons, the other has Pirelli Scorpion Zero, both are the same size (ie 255 x 50) on 20" rims and tyre wear is about the same (they both have around 6mm all round). I can't tell any difference in the actual handling characteristics between them, BUT the Zero's are subjectively quieter at all speeds and give a very slightly smoother ride. Just my opinion. Drives:

Interested to see how the Scorpion Zeros go. Ive just put 2 new 20” verdes on the front of my D4 to keep a matching set, but am on the hunt for some new wheels for the 405. Mine need a refurb, and I fancy some 22” so it could be a case of a whole new set of tyres for that. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Good idea. I'd definitely wouldn't recommend using your 20" tyres on 22" wheels :p |
