It has two latches. Probably the left one didn't engage, push a little harder on that side... |

Slam it hard. Do not push it.

Do you own a screwdriver sir? Open the bonnet and push a screwdriver into the latch as if it was the bonnet closing, this will show you if the latch is at fault? DONT FORGET to pull the bonnet pull once finished...

Had this before as well - I fixed it by adjusting the position of the latch on that side. Remove the grill and you'll see the bonnet catches - just need to loosen and slightly move it until the bonnet catches properly Current Fleet:-

I had this problem with my L405. The latches needed a good soaking in WD40. I also found that the gaps between the edge of the bonnet and the doors needed adjusting and this is done via the nuts in the back corners of bonnet, on the hinges. Kev

Thanks again for all your help. Looks like all it needed was reasonably hard slam and it was fine (after Craig’s suggested check on the latch, thanks buddy may visit your garage on the way to my mums in Wales for a gear service at some point).
