transmission fluid

Hi to all

normally on my GM5L40E transmission, I use Dexron III. One of these days in a video on youtube, a technician put Dexron VI. What is the best I should use?
Cheers

Dexron III is technically obsolete in the eyes of GM and they brought out the Dexron VI in 2005. Obviously so many cars on the road are still recommended Dexron III so it is still in production by most oil manufacturers and will be for many years yet.

Dexron VI is backwardly compatible with Dexron III and Dexron II. Essentially it lasts longer and is slightly thinner than Dexron III.
