2005 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Tonga Green
taking the car 'back' to correct spec for year etc

decided i'm going to take mine back to the correct body spec etc for 2005

its a bit of a mongrel Laughing

clear indicator repeaters /2010 supercharged side vents/black LR badges to go

fortunately the previous owner left me the green LR badges and 'orange' side repeaters - so only need to buy the side vents which seem to go for pennies as everyone seems to want to 'upgrade'

what are others views of original spec V modification?

I love the clean unadulterated lines of standard RR's. Maybe because I've never owned one without light guards and other accessories etc.

I like the SC styling fins and grille, but I also like the plain flat fins and grille. Just like I like the newer SC alloys but love the flat 7 spoke Vogue alloys.

My world is full of contradictions Big Cry

Standard RR's have always looked fantastic, from day 1. I would say though that the new one is walking a little far from the line at present. Lose the LED eyelashes Tata.

I think mods are down to the actual owners taste , don't really see any problems with upgrading an early car ....
OEM standard factory finish FFRR's still look good as well .........

As i also think that people that do not own a FFRR could tell from a Modded to original ......... unless you go overboard with add ons ...... Thumbs Up ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

Funny this topic should spring up. Before I got my car I had all sorts of thoughts of doing (in my opinion) tasteful mods, but now it's here I'm starting to think it would be a shame to spoil the elegance of the car in its "natural state". My only "serious" thoughts now re taking off the steel tubes and replacing them with side steps that can actually be used for the purpose and having the mirrors housings colour coded! Thumbs Up

I'm sure my thoughts will change as time goes by mind you! Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey
