4.4lt L322 Vehicle Payload

Might seem a bit of a random question but I have to collect approx. 18 boxes of bathroom tiles from a store in Cambridge. Tried to get them delivered but the turn around time was 4-6weeks!. The boxes weight approx. 25kg each so would equate to around 450kg payload.

Realistically, what would be the weight limit of contents stored in the boot of the vehicle? I am doubting that it could handle 450kg in one journey!

Not sure about the exact number, but I am not huge, weigh just under 100Kg. Could put three of me in the back seat, one in the passenger seat and there is 400Kg, 50Kg in luggage doesn't seem unreasonable.

The owners manual gives a payload of 490kg with a full tank as I read it.. You'd have to be a little person to fit in.

Any load would best be over the whole space with the seats down and a bit in the front well. Cheers

Cheers all for the quick replies. Didn't realise the payload was so great. My main concern was weight distribution. 18 boxes of tiles isn't necessarily that bulky, it's just heavy. If i drop the back seats and spread them over the boot area and seats that should be OK then.
